While walking through east London, this in clothing covered building arose in front of me. Inside M&S and Oxfam are hosting a Shwop Lab for 2 weeks. It’s a sustainable fashion design lab that focuses on reusing clothes in an eco-stylish way.
The clothes hanging outside of the building adress the issue of the enormeous amounts of clothing that end up in the garbage bin. You can only enter the lab if you’re donating an unwanted clothing item, which fashion students will reconstruct into a eco-fab fashion item. Apparantely Joanna Lumley herself opened the Shwop-lab, can’t go wrong with Miss AbFab as your spokesperson.
